GENERAL CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE FOR PASSENGERS AND BAGGAGE

ARTICLE 1: DEFINITIONS OF THE
EXPRESSIONS USED IN THESE CONDITIONS
The following words and expressions shall have the meanings stated here in
below:
"We", "Us", "Our" & "Ourselves" - means Bahrain Air.
"You", "Your" & "Yourself" means any person, except
members of the crew, carried or to be carried in an aircraft pursuant to a
Ticket. (See also the definition for "Passenger").
"AGREED STOPPING PLACES" means those places, except the place of
departure and the place of destination, set out in the Ticket or shown in Our
timetables as scheduled stopping places on Your route.
"AIRLINE DESIGNATOR CODE" means the two characters or three letters which
identify particular air Carriers.
"AUTHORISED AGENT" means a passenger sales agent who has been appointed
to represent Us in the sale of carriage by air on Our services.
"BAGGAGE" means Your personal property accompanying You in connection
with Your trip. Unless otherwise specified, consists of Your Checked and
Unchecked Baggage.
"BAGGAGE CHECK" means those portions of the Ticket which records the
carriage of Your Checked Baggage.
"BAGGAGE IDENTIFICATION TAG" means a document issued solely for
identification of Checked Baggage.
"CARRIER" means an air Carrier other than Ourselves, whose airline
designator code appears on Your Ticket or on a Conjunction Ticket.
"CHECKED BAGGAGE" means Baggage of which We take custody and for which We
have issued a Baggage Check.
"CHECK-IN DEADLINE" means the time limit specified by Us by which You
must have completed check-in formalities and received Your boarding pass.
"CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE" means these General Conditions of Carriage for
Passengers and Baggage.
"CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT" means those statements contained in or delivered
with Your Ticket or Itinerary/Receipt, identified as such and which incorporate
by reference, these Conditions of Carriage and Notices.
"CONFIRMATION REFERENCE" means the unique number We assign to You to
identify the booking You have made which has been confirmed by Us.
"CONJUNCTION TICKET" means a Ticket issued to You with relation to
another Ticket which together constitute a single contract of carriage.
"CONVENTION"
means anyone or more of the following
international instruments which is or
are applicable:

(hereinafter referred to as "the
Montreal Convention"). |
"COUPON"
means both a paper Flight Coupon or an
Electronic Coupon, each of which
entitles the named passenger to travel
on the particular flight identified on
it.
"DAMAGE"
includes death, wounding, or bodily
injury to a Passenger. loss, partial
loss or theft of or other damage to
Baggage arising out of, or in connection
with carriage or other services
incidental thereto performed by Us.
"DAYS"
means calendar days, including all seven
days of the week; provided that, for the
purpose of notification, the day upon
which notice is dispatched shall not be
counted; and provided further that for
purposes of determining the duration of
validity of a Ticket, the day upon which
the Ticket is issued, or the flight
commenced shall not be counted.
"ELECTRONIC
COUPON" means an Electronic Flight
Coupon or other value document held in
Our database.
"ELECTRONIC
TICKET" means the Itinerary/Receipt
issued by Us or on Our behalf, the
Electronic Coupons and, if applicable, a
boarding document.
"FLIGHT
COUPON" means the portion of the
Ticket that bears the notation "good for
passage," or in the case of an
Electronic Ticket, the Electronic Coupon
and indicates the particular places
between which You are entitled to be
carried.
"FORCE
MAJEURE" means unusual and
unforeseeable circumstances beyond Our
control, the consequences of which could
not have been avoided even if all due
care had been exercised.
"ITINERARY/RECEIPT"
means a document or documents We issue
to Passengers travelling on Electronic
Tickets containing the Passengers name,
flight information and notices.
"PASSENGER"
means any person, except members of the
crew, carried or to be carried in an
aircraft pursuant to a Ticket. (See also
definition for "You", "Your" and
"Yourself").
"PASSENGER
COUPON" or "PASSENGER RECEIPT" means
that portion of the Ticket issued by Us
or on Our behalf, which is so marked and
which ultimately is to be retained by
You.
"SPECIAL
DRAWING RIGHTS" are an international
unit of account, defined by the
International Monetary Fund, based upon
the values of several leading
currencies. The currency values of the
Special Drawing Right fluctuate and are
re-calculated each banking day. These
currency values are known to most
commercial bankers and are reported
regularly in leading financial journals.
"STOPOVER"
means a scheduled stop on Your journey,
at a point between the place of
departure and the place of destination.
"TARIFFS"
means the published fares, charges
and/or related Conditions of Carriage
filed, where required, with the
appropriate authorities.
"TICKET"
means either the document entitled
"Passenger Ticket and Baggage Receipt"
or an Electronic Ticket or an Itinerary
Receipt, in each case issued by Us or on
Our behalf, and includes the Conditions
of Contract, notices and Coupons.
"TRAVEL
REGULATIONS" are the rules published
by Us, which are in force on the date
the booking is made, which govern the
carriage of passengers and Baggage and
shall include applicable Tariffs in
force; these are available on Our
website
www.bahrainair.net
and at Our offices upon request.
"UNCHECKED
BAGGAGE" means any of Your Baggage
other than Checked Baggage.
"USD" means United
States of America Dollar(s).
"VALIDITY PERIOD" is the
period during which Your Ticket is
valid for air carriage.

ARTICLE 2: APPLICABILITY
2.1. GENERAL Except as provided in paragraphs 2.2 and 2.4 these
Conditions of Carriage apply to all flights or flight segments, operated by Us
or in respect of which We have a legal liability to You.
2.2. CHARTER OPERATIONS If
carriage is performed pursuant to a
Charter Agreement, these Conditions of
Carriage apply only to the extent they
are incorporated by reference or
otherwise in the Charter Agreement or
the Ticket.
2.3. CODE SHARES On some services
We may have arrangements with other
Carriers known as "Code Shares". This
means that even if You have a
reservation with Us and hold a Ticket
where Our name or Our airline designator
code is indicated as the Carrier,
another Carrier may operate the
aircraft. If such arrangements apply, We
will advise You of the Carrier operating
the aircraft at the time You make a
reservation.
2.4. OVERRIDING LAW These
Conditions of Carriage are applicable
unless they are inconsistent with Our
Tariffs or applicable laws, in which
event such tariffs or laws shall
prevail.
If
any provision of these Conditions of
Carriage is invalid under any applicable
law, the other provisions shall
nevertheless remain valid.
2.5. CONDITIONS PREVAIL OVER REGULATIONS
Except as provided in these Conditions
of Carriage, in the event of
inconsistency between these Conditions
of Carriage and any other regulations We
may have, dealing with particular
subjects, these Conditions of Carriage
shall prevail.

ARTICLE 3: TICKETS
3.1. GENERAL
|

All
passengers are required to bring
their booking reference before
checking-in. |
|
|
All
passengers including children must
have a valid passport or other
authorized travel document and a
valid visa for their destination
where applicable. For confirmation
of valid travel documents and visas,
passengers are requested to contact
the nearest relevant Embassy or
Consulate. |
3.2. TRANSFERABILITY The change of name in a reservation is not permitted, except for minor and limited spelling errors.
3.3. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Tickets purchased on our flights
are non-refundable, non transferable and
non endorsable.
In case of non show of passenger to the
flight for which they have reserved and
paid, fares, service fees and taxes are
not refundable, no matter of reason of
non show.
Changes to flight dates and times are
permitted, according to availability up
to 48 hours before flight departure upon
payment of a supplement of BHD 5 per
passenger per flight, plus the
difference between the fare originally
paid and the lowest available fare at
the time of the request for amendment.
No refund shall be made if the available
fare is lower to the fare originally
paid.
If the flight is cancelled by the
Carrier or if the departure time is
changed, prior to the date of travel, by
a minimum of five hours or more before
or after the originally scheduled
departure time, and if the passenger
does not accept the alternatives
proposed, or where there are no such
alternatives, the full amount paid for
the cancelled flight will be refunded
but no compensation shall be made for
connection cost or assistance
(meals/overnight accommodation).
To avoid inconvenience In the case of
reservations made very far in advance,
it is advisable to check with the Call
Centre or your nearest travel agent if
there have been any changes to the
flight at least 48 hours prior to
departure.
3.4. HANDLING FEES
For
bookings made through Travel Agents or
through our Call Centre, passengers will
be charged an agency handling fee of BHD
4 (or equivalent) per passenger for
travel within the Gulf Cooperation
Council (GCC) or BHD 6 (or equivalent)
per passenger for travel outside the GCC.
These fees will not be credited in case
of cancellations.
3.5. NO SHOWS
In the event You do not show up
for any flight without advising Us in
advance, We may cancel Your return or
onward reservations. However, if You do
advise Us in advance, We will not cancel
Your subsequent flight reservations.
3.6. OUR NAME AND ADDRESS Our
name may be abbreviated in the Ticket by
Our Airline Designator Code. Our
principal place of business address is:
Mohamed Centre, 151 Road No. 44, Arad
243, Muharraq, Kingdom of Bahrain
3.7. VALIDITY
Unless stated differently in
the Ticket, these Conditions of
Carriage, or in any Tariffs which apply,
a Ticket is valid up to the date of travel.
3.8.
FARE RULES
3.8.1. CHANGING DATE OF TRAVEL
The
change is permitted subject to
availability of seats up to 48 hours
before scheduled departure of the
flights, for a fee of BHD 5 per
passenger per flight from origin to
destination and the payment of the
difference in prevailing fare and the
fare originally paid. These changes can
also be made online.
3.8.2. FLIGHT DISRUPTIONS POLICY
Bahrain Air will endeavor to carry the
passenger(s) and the baggage in
accordance with the date and time of
flights specified. Schedules, however,
may change without notice for a range of
reasons, including but not limited to
bad weather, air traffic control delays,
strikes, technical disruptions, late
arrival of incoming aircraft, VVIP
movement, force majeure and/or
consequential reactionary delays.
Bahrain Air shall not be liable for any
costs, expenses, losses or damages
incurred by the passenger(s) as a result
of failure to operate a schedule. Buying
travel insurance is strongly recommended
to cover some of the unforeseen
eventualities.
3.8.3. JOINING PASSENGERS
In the unlikely event of delays of more
than 4 hours, Bahrain Air shall endeavor
to:

Re-accommodate the joining passengers
on the next available Bahrain Air flight(s) or;
-
Refund the amount paid in the form of
original payment made or;
-
Transfer the joining passenger on
other similar airlines provided,
passenger agrees to pay the difference
between the actual cost of the new
booking made with other airline and what
has been paid to Bahrain Air for the
travel on the affected flight(s).
-
Provide snacks for delays
of up to 2
hours and meals for delays of more than 4 hours.
3.8.4. PASSENGERS IN TRANSIT
In the unlikely event of delays of more
than 4 hours, Bahrain Air shall endeavor
to:
-
Re-accommodate transit passenger(s) on
the next available Bahrain Air flight(s)
or;
-
Refund the amount paid in the form of
original payment made for the remaining
part of the journey not completed or;
-
Transfer the passenger(s) in transit
on other similar airlines subject to
availability of seats or;
-
Provide snacks for delays
of up to 2
hours and meals if more than 4 hours
or;
-
Provide hotel accommodation, ground
transportation and up to 3 meals at the
hotel selected by Bahrain Air if
delays exceed 8 hours.
3.8.5. CANCELLATION OF FLIGHTS
In the unlikely event of flight
cancellations, Bahrain Air shall:
3.8.6. REFUND POLICY
Except in the event that Bahrain Air
cancels its flight or there is a
disruption due to reasons beyond its
control, tickets purchased on Bahrain
air flights are non-transferable, non-
endorsable and non-refundable including
any taxes, fees or charges which may
have been collected in respect of such
flight(s).
3.8.7. RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE
Bahrain Air reserves the right to refuse
carriage to any person who attempts to
travel in violation of applicable law,
tariffs or the General Conditions of
Carriage, or who is under the influence
of drugs or alcohol, or if Bahrain Air
believes that it is necessary for the
safety or comfort of Passengers or for
the protection of property.
3.8.8. ADDITIONAL SERVICES
-
Wheel chair can be requested at a
subsidized charge of BHD 15 for a flight
at the time of ticketing.
-
The wheel chair can also be requested
at the airport at a subsidized charge of BHD 20 per flight. Note: Additional service charges shall
apply where high-loader is required to
carry the passenger(s) with the wheel
chair to and from the aircraft.
-
Presently, Unaccompanied Minor (UM)
service is not offered by Bahrain Air.
3.8.9. SERVICE FEES
For bookings made through the Travel
Agencies or through Bahrain Air Call
Centre, passengers will be charged an
agency handling fee of BHD 4 (or
equivalent) per passenger for travel
within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
and BHD 6 (or equivalent) per passenger
for travel outside the GCC. These fees
will not be refunded in case of the
cancellation of the booking.

ARTICLE 4: FARES, TAXES, FEES, CHARGES
AND CURRENCY
4.1. FARES Fares apply only for carriage from the airport at the
point of origin to the airport at the point of destination, unless otherwise
expressly stated. Fares do not include ground transport service between airports
and town terminals. Your fare will be calculated in
accordance with Our Tariffs in effect on the date of payment of Your Ticket for
travel on the specific dates and itinerary shown on it. The fare will be for
travel on specific dates and itinerary shown on the Ticket. If You wish to
change Your itinerary or dates of travel, this may increase the fare.
4.2. TAXES, FEES AND CHARGES
Applicable taxes, fees and charges
imposed by any government or other
authority, or by the operator of an
airport, shall be payable by You. At the
time You purchase Your Ticket, You will
be advised of taxes, fees and charges
not included in the fare, most of which
will normally be shown separately on the
Ticket. The taxes, fees and charges
imposed on air travel are constantly
changing and can be imposed after the
date of Ticket issuance. If there is an
increase in a tax, fee or charge shown
on the Ticket, You will be obliged to
pay it. Likewise, if a new tax, fee or
charge is imposed even after Ticket
issuance, You will be obliged to pay it.
Similarly, in the event any taxes, fees
or charges which You have paid to Us at
the time of Ticket issuance are
abolished or reduced such that they no
longer apply to You, or a lesser amount
is due, You will not be entitled to claim a
refund.
4.3. CURRENCY Fares, taxes, fees
and charges are payable in Bahraini Dinars.
We may, at Our discretion, accept
payment in other currency.
4.4. ADMINISTRATION CHARGES We
reserve the right to charge a reasonable
administration fee for additional
services, not included in the price of
the Ticket, including, but not limited
to, requests for personal data pursuant
to article 5 and duplicate receipts.

ARTICLE 5: PERSONAL DATA AND SEATING
5.1. PERSONAL DATA You
recognize that personal data has been
given to Us for the purposes of making a
reservation, purchasing a Ticket,
obtaining ancillary services, developing
and providing services, facilitating
immigration and entry procedures, and
making available such data to government
agencies, in connection with Your
travel. For these purposes, You
authorize Us to retain and use such data
and to transmit it to Our own offices.
Authorized Agents, government agencies,
other Carriers or the providers of the
above-mentioned services.
5.2. SEATING We will endeavor to
honour advance seating requests if and when applicable.
However, We cannot guarantee any
particular seat. We reserve the right to
assign or reassign seats at any time,
even after boarding of the aircraft.
This may be necessary for operational
safety or security reasons.

ARTICLE 6: CHECK-IN AND BOARDING
6.1. CHECK-IN DEADLINES
-
Check-in counters open three hours
prior to scheduled departure time.
-
Check-in counters close one hour prior
to departure time.
-
Boarding Gate closes 20 minutes prior
to departure time. The aircraft will not
be held for any passenger (s) if they
arrive at the boarding gate after this
time. Note: Failure to check-in for Bahrain
Air flight at least 1 hour prior to the
scheduled departure time will result in
the entire fare being forfeited.
6.2. BOARDING GATE DEADLINES You
must be present at the boarding gate not
later than the time specified by Us when
You check in. We may decide not to carry
You, without being liable for any loss
or expense You may suffer if You fail to
arrive at the boarding gate on time.
6.3. ADMINISTRATION You are
solely responsible for complying with
all laws, regulations orders, demands
and requirements of countries to be
flown from, into or over and with Our
Carriers Regulations and instructions
given by Us relating thereto. We shall
not be liable in any way whatsoever to
You in connection with obtaining
necessary documents or complying with
such laws, regulations orders, demands,
requirements or instructions, whether
given orally or in writing or otherwise,
or for the consequences to You resulting
from Your failure to obtain such
documents or to comply with such laws,
regulations orders, demands,
requirements and/or instructions.
6.4. We will
not be liable to You for any loss or
expense incurred due to Your failure to
comply with the provisions of this
Article.

ARTICLE 7:
CARRIAGE OF EXPECTANT MOTHERS, UNACCOMPANIED MINORS AND INFANTS
7.1. EXPECTANT MOTHERS
7.1.1. Expectant mothers who are
beyond 28 weeks of pregnancy and up to
32 weeks require medical clearance from
their doctor. They must present a
doctor's certificate, obtained not more
than one week before travel, confirming,
fitness to travel and stating the
following:
-
Duration of the pregnancy
-
Date of last menstrual period (LMP).
-
Expected delivery date (EDD).
-
Blood pressure: Haemoglobin.
7.1.2. Air travel is not
permitted for women who are beyond 32
weeks of pregnancy and for mothers
within the first week after delivery.
7.2. UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
Presently, Unaccompanied Minor (UM)
service is not offered by Bahrain Air.
7.3. INFANTS Infants under the
age of two weeks cannot be accepted for
travel. Maximum
number of infants to be carried is 10
infants per flight.

ARTICLE
8: REFUSAL AND LIMITATION OF
CARRIAGE
8.1. RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE
In the reasonable exercise of Our
discretion, We may refuse to carry You
or Your Baggage if We have notified You
in writing that We will not at any time
after the date of said notice carry You
on Our flights. In this circumstance You
will be entitled to a refund of the fare
You have paid, plus any Taxes, Fees and
Charges, less any reasonable
administration charge We may apply. We
may refuse to carry You or Your Baggage
if one or more of the following has
occurred or We reasonably believe may
occur:
8.1.1. Such action is necessary in
order to comply with any applicable
government laws, regulations, or orders;
8.1.2. The carriage of You or Your
Baggage may endanger or affect the
safety, health or materially affect the
comfort of other passengers or crew;
8.1.3. Your mental or physical
state, including Your impairment from
alcohol or drugs presents a hazard or
risk to Yourself, to passengers, to crew
or to property;
8.1.4. You have refused to submit to
a security check;
8.1.5. You have not paid the
applicable fare, taxes, fees or charges;
8.1.6. You do not appear to have
valid travel documents, may seek to
enter a country through which You may be
in transit, or for which You do not have
valid travel documents, destroy Your
travel documents during flight or refuse
to surrender Your travel documents to
the flight crew, against receipt when so
requested or refuse to allow Us to
photocopy Your travel documents;
8.1.7. You present a Ticket that has
been acquired unlawfully, has been
purchased from an entity other than Us
or Our Authorized Agent, has been
reported as being lost or stolen, or is
a counterfeit, or You cannot prove that
You are the person named in the Ticket;
8.1.8. You have failed to comply
with the requirements set forth in
Article 3.3. above concerning coupon
sequence and use, or You present a
Ticket which has been issued or altered
in any way, other than by Us or Our
Authorized Agent or the Ticket is
mutilated, damaged or tampered with;
8.1.9. You fail to observe Our
instructions with respect to safety or
security;
8.1.10. If You have not obeyed the
instructions of Our ground staff or a
member of the crew of the aircraft
relating to safety or security and /or
use threatening, abusive or insulting
words towards Our ground staff or a
member of the crew of the aircraft;
8.1.11. If You have behaved in a
threatening, abusive, insulting or
disorderly way towards a member of Our
ground staff or a member of the crew of
the aircraft;
8.1.12. If You made a hoax threat
relating to bombs, biological or
chemical weapons;
8.1.13. If You have committed a
criminal offence during check-in or
boarding processes or onboard the
aircraft.
8.1.14. If carrying You would break
Government laws, regulations, or orders;
if You have refused to give Us
information, which a Government
authority has asked to provide about
You.
8.1.15. If You cannot prove, You are
the person named in the Ticket when
presenting it for check-in or boarding.
We reserve the right to retain such
Tickets in these circumstances.
8.1.16. If You have changed Your
transportation without Our agreement as
set out in Article 3.3. and Our
Carriers regulations.
8.1.17. If You have failed to
present Your Ticket or Your Boarding
Pass or Your travel document to Us when
reasonably asked to do so; if You have
failed to complete the check-in process
by the Check-in Deadline; if You have
failed to arrive at the boarding gate on
time.
8.1.18. If You have committed one or
more of the Acts or Omissions mentioned
above on/or in connection with a
previous flight and We believe You may
repeat this behaviour.
8.1.19. If You have put the safety
of either the aircraft or any person in
it in danger.
8.2. SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
Acceptance for carriage of
unaccompanied children, incapacitated
persons, pregnant women, and persons
with illness or other people requiring
special assistance is subject to prior
arrangement with Us. Passengers with
disabilities who have advised Us of any
special requirements they may have at
the time of ticketing, and been accepted
by Us, shall not subsequently be refused
carriage on the basis of such disability
or special requirements.
We
may decide not to carry pregnant women,
passengers suffering illness,
disability, have limited mobility or
need special help if arrangements to
carry them have not been made before
check-in. We do not accept unaccompanied
children under the age of 12 years.

ARTICLE 9: BAGGAGE
9.1. FREE CHECKED-IN BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
-
Economy Class: 20 kg.
-
Premium Class: 30 Kg.
-
Infant: 10 kg
At the discretion of Bahrain Air, excess
baggage (above the free baggage
allowance) may be allowed and charged at
the relevant rates. Bahrain Air may
refuse to carry Baggage that does not
comply with the Bahrain Air policy.
Baggage allowance exception during

The maximum weight permitted per
individual piece of checked-in baggage
is 32kgs with total dimensions of 160cms
(W+D+L). No single piece of baggage may
exceed this allowance.
9.2. CABIN OR CARRY-ON HAND BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE One piece per person with a total
maximum weight not exceeding 7kgs is
permitted. The dimensions of hand
baggage should not exceed 55cm in
length, 35cm in width and 20cm in
height.
Any liquid, aerosols, gels or paste in a
container measuring greater than 100ml
each must be packed in the checked
baggage. Any individual container
measuring over 100ml (even if the
content is less than 100ml) will NOT be
allowed on board. All such items may be
carried as carry-on items provided they
have been kept in a separate clear
plastic, zip top, re-sealable bag and
the total volume does not exceed one litre or the pack size does not exceed
20cm X 20cm.
9.3. EXCESS BAGGAGE
You will be required to pay a
charge for the carriage of Baggage in
excess of the free Baggage allowance.
These rates are available from Us on
request.
9.4. ITEMS UNACCEPTABLE AS BAGGAGE
9.4.1. You must not
include in Your Baggage: 9.4.1.1.
Items which are likely to endanger the
aircraft or persons or property on board
the aircraft, such as those specified in
the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO), Technical
Instructions for the Safe Transport of
Dangerous Goods by Air and the
International Air Transport Association
(IATA), Dangerous Goods Regulations, and
in Our Regulations (further information
is available from Us on request);.
9.4.1.2. Items the Carriage of which
is prohibited by the applicable laws,
regulations or orders of any State to be
flown from to or over;
9.4.1.3. Items which are reasonably
considered by Us to be unsuitable for
carriage because they are dangerous or
unsafe, or because of their weight,
size, shape or character, or because
they are fragile or perishable having
regard to, among other things, the type
of aircraft being used. Information
about unacceptable items is available
upon request;
9.4.2. Firearms and ammunitions
other than for hunting and sporting
purposes are prohibited from carriage as
Baggage. Firearms and ammunitions for
hunting and sporting purposes may be
accepted as Checked Baggage. Firearms
must be unloaded, with the safety catch
on, and suitably packed. Carriage of
ammunition is subject to ICAO and IATA
Regulations as specified in Article
8.3.1.1;
9.4.3. Weapons such as antique
firearms, swords, knives and similar
items may be accepted as Checked
Baggage, at Our discretion, but will not
be permitted in the cabin of the
aircraft;
9.4.4. You must not include in
Checked Baggage money, jewellery,
precious metals, computers, personal
electronic devices, negotiable papers,
securities or other valuables, business
documents, passports and other
identification documents or samples; and
9.4.5. If, despite being prohibited,
any items referred to in Articles
8.3.1., 8.3.2. and 8.3.4 are included in
Your Baggage, We shall not be
responsible for any loss or damage due
to such items.
9.5. RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE
9.5.1. Subject to Articles 8.3.2
and 8.3.3. We will refuse to carry as
Baggage the items described in Article
8.3, and We may refuse further carriage
of any such items upon discovery.
9.5.2. We may refuse to carry as
Baggage any item reasonably considered
by Us to be unsuitable for carriage
because of its size, shape, weight,
content or character, or for safety or
operational reasons, or in the interests
of the comfort of other passengers.
Information about unacceptable items is
available upon request.
9.5.3. We may refuse to accept
Baggage for carriage unless it is in Our
reasonable opinion properly and securely
packed in suitable containers.
Information about packing and containers
acceptable to Us is available upon
request.
9.6. RIGHT OF SEARCH For reasons
of safety and security, We may request
that You permit a search and scan of
Your person and a search, scan or x-ray
off Your Baggage. If You are not
available, Your Baggage may be searched
in Your absence for the purpose of
determining whether You are in
possession of or whether Your Baggage
contains any items described in Article
8.3.1. or any firearms, ammunitions or
weapons, which have not been presented
to Us in accordance with Articles 8.3.2
or 8.3.3. If You are unwilling to comply
with such requests, We may refuse to
carry You and Your Baggage. In the event
a search or scan causes Damage to You,
or an x-ray or a scan causes damage to
Your Baggage We shall not be liable for
such Damage unless due to Our fault or
negligence.
9.7. CHECKED BAGGAGE
9.7.1. Upon delivery to Us of
Your Baggage, which You wish to check,
We will take custody of, and issue a
Baggage Identification Tag for, each
piece of Your Checked Baggage.
9.7.2. Checked Baggage must have
Your name or other personal
identification affixed to it.
9.7.3. Checked Baggage will,
whenever possible, be carried on the
same aircraft as You unless We decide
for safety, security or operational
reasons to carry it on an alternative
flight. If Your Checked Baggage is
carried on a subsequent flight, We will
deliver it to You, unless applicable law
requires You to be present for customs
clearance.
9.8. UNCHEKED BAGGAGE
9.8.1. Cabin or hand baggage allowance per
Passenger is 1 piece with a total maximum weight not exceeding 7 Kg. the total dimensions of which should not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Please read Bahrain Air Travel Regulations for more details. Additional charge will apply for excess baggage.
Baggage which You carry on the aircraft
must fit under the seat in front of You
or in an enclosed storage compartment in
the cabin of the aircraft. If Your
Baggage cannot be stored in this manner
or is of excessive weight, or is considered unsafe for any
reason, it must be carried as Checked
Baggage.
9.8.2. Objects not suitable for
carriage in the cargo compartment, (such
as delicate musical instruments) and
which do not meet the requirements in
Article 8.7.1 above, will only be
accepted for carriage in the cabin
compartment if You have given Us notice
in advance and permission has been
granted by Us. You may be required to
pay a separate charge for this service.
9.9. COLLECTION AND DELIVERY OF CHECKED
BAGGAGE
9.9.1. Subject to Article
8.6.3, You are required to collect Your
Checked Baggage as soon as it is made
available at Your destination or
Stopover. Should You not collect it
within a reasonable time, We may charge
You a storage fee. Should Your Checked
Baggage not be claimed within sixty (60)
days, We may dispose of it without any
liability to You.
9.9.2. Only the bearer of the
Baggage Check and Baggage Identification
Tag is entitled to delivery of the
Checked Baggage.
9.9.3. If a person claiming Checked
Baggage is unable to produce the Baggage
Check and Identify the Baggage by means
of a Baggage Identification Tag, We will
deliver the Baggage to such a person
only on condition that he or she
establishes to Our satisfaction his or
her right to the Baggage.
9.10. ANIMALS AND BIRDS
We reserve the right, at Our absolute
discretion, to refuse to carry any
animals (which term, for the purpose of
this Article 8.9. includes birds). If We
agree to carry any animals, they will be
carried subject to the following
conditions:
9.10.1. You must ensure that animals
such as dogs, cats, household birds and
other pets, are properly crated (or
carried in a container complying with
any applicable legal requirements) and
accompanied by valid health and
vaccination certificates, entry permits
and other documents required by
countries of entry or transit, failing
which they will not be accepted for
carriage. Such carriage may be subject
to additional conditions specified by
Us, which are available on request.
9.10.2. If accepted as Baggage, the
animal together with its container and
food shall not be included in Your free
Baggage allowance, but shall constitute
excess Baggage, for which You will be
obliged to pay an applicable rate.
9.10.3. Guide dogs accompanying
Passengers with disabilities will be
carried free of charge in addition to
the normal free Baggage allowance,
subject to conditions specified by Us,
which are available on request.
8.10.4. When carriage is not subject
to the liability rules of the Convention
We are not responsible for injury to or
loss, sickness or death of an animal
which We have agreed to carry unless We
have been negligent.
9.10.5. We will have no liability in
respect of any such animal not having
all the necessary exit, entry, health
and other documents with respect to
animals entry into or passage through
any country, state or territory and the
person carrying the animal must
reimburse Us from any fines, costs,
losses or liabilities reasonably imposed
or incurred by Us as a result.
9.11. ITEMS REMOVED BY AIRPORT SECURITY
PERSONNEL
We will not be responsible for,
or have any liability in respect of,
articles removed from Your Baggage by
airport security personnel or customs
personnel acting in accordance with any
applicable regulations.

ARTICLE 10: SCHEDULES
10.1. The flight times shown in
timetables may change between the date
of publication and the date You actually
travel. We do not guarantee them to You
and they do not form part of Your
contract with Us.
10.2. Before We accept Your
booking, We will notify You of the
scheduled flight time in effect as of
that time and it will be shown on Your
Ticket. It is possible that We may need
to change the scheduled flight time
subsequent to issuance of Your Ticket.
If You provide Us with contact
information, We will endeavor to notify
You of any such changes.

ARTICLE
11: CONDUCT ABOARD AIRCRAFT
11.1. GENERAL If, in Our
reasonable opinion, You conduct Yourself
aboard the aircraft so as to endanger
the aircraft or any person or property
on board, or obstruct the crew in the
performance of their duties, or fail to
comply with any instructions of the
crew, including but not limited to,
those with respect to smoking, alcohol
or drug consumption, or behave in a
manner which causes discomfort,
inconvenience, damage or injury to other
passengers or the crew, We may take such
measures as We deem reasonably necessary
to prevent continuation of such conduct,
including restraint. You maybe
disembarked and refused onward carriage
at any point, and may be prosecuted for
offences committed on board the
aircraft.
11.2. PAYMENT OF DIVERSION COST
If, as a result of conduct by You of the
sort mentioned in Article 11.1 We
decide, in the exercise of Our
reasonable discretion to divert the
aircraft for the purpose of offloading
You, You must pay all costs resulting
from that diversion.
11.3.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES For safety
reasons, We may forbid or limit the
operation aboard the aircraft of
electronic equipment, including, but not
limited to, cellular telephones; laptop
computers, portable recorders, portable
radios, CD players; electronic games or
transmitting devices, including
radio-controlled toys and
walkie-talkies. Operation of hearing
aids and heart pacemakers is permitted.

ARTICLE 12: ARRANGEMENTS FOR ADDITIONAL
SERVICES
12.1. If We make arrangements for
You with any third party to provide any
services other than carriage by air, or
if We issue a Ticket or voucher relating
to transportation or services (other
than carriage by air) provided by a
third party such as hotel reservations
or car rental, in doing so We act only
as Your agent. The terms and conditions
of the third party service provider will
apply and We shall have no liability to
You.
12.2. If We are also providing
surface transport to You, other
conditions may apply to such surface
transport. Such conditions are available
from Us upon request.
12.3. Wheelchair service charges:
-
Booked at
the time of ticketing, passenger
will be charged BHD 15 per
sector.
-
Requested at
the airport, passenger will be
charged BHD 20 per sector.

ARTICLE
13: ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES
13.1. GENERAL
13.1.1. You are responsible for
obtaining all required travel documents
and visas and for complying with all
laws, regulations, orders, demands, and
travel requirements of countries to be
flown from, into or to which You
transit.
13.1.2.
We shall not be liable for the
consequences to any Passenger resulting
from his or her failure to obtain such
documents or visas or to comply with
such laws, regulations, orders, demands,
requirements, rules or instructions.
13.2. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS Prior to
travel, You must present all exit,
entry, health and other documents
required by the laws, regulations,
orders, demands or other requirements of
the countries concerned, and permit Us
to take and retain copies thereof. We
reserve the right to refuse carriage if
You have not complied with these
requirements, or Your travel documents
do not appear to be in order.
13.3. REFUSAL OF ENTRY
If You are denied entry into any
country, You will be responsible to pay
any fine or charge assessed against Us
by the Government concerned and for the
cost of transporting You from that
country. The fare collected for carriage
to the point of refusal or denied entry
will not be refunded by Us.
13.4. PASSENGER RESPONSIBLE FOR FINES,
DETENTION COSTS, ETC If We are
required to pay any fine, penalty or to
incur any expenditure by reason of Your
failure to comply with laws,
regulations, orders, demands or other
travel requirements of the countries
concerned or to produce the required
documents, You shall reimburse Us on
demand any amount so paid or expenditure
so incurred. We may apply towards such
payment or expenditure the value of any
unused carriage on Your Ticket, or any
of Your funds in Our possession.
13.5. CUSTOMS INSEPCTION
If required, You shall attend
inspection of Your Baggage, by customs
or other Government officials. We are
not liable to You for any loss or damage
suffered by You in the course of such an
inspection or through Your failure to be
present at such inspection.
13.6. SECURITY INSPECTION You
shall submit to any security checks by
Government officials, airport officials,
Carriers or by Us to carry out security
screening of You or Your Baggage.

ARTICLE
14: OTHER REGULATIONS
Carriage
of You and Your Baggage is also provided
in accordance with certain other
regulations and conditions applying to
or adopted by Us. These regulations and
conditions as varied from time to time
are important. They concern among
others:

pregnant women, and sick
passengers; |

Restrictions
on use of electronic devices and
items; |
Regulations concerning
these matters are available from Us upon
request.

Conditions of Carriage is for
convenience only, and is not to be used
for interpretation of the text.
